If you arrive on sunday July 4th -  price per person is - 150 CZK
If you arrive on monday July 5thprice per person is - 100 CZK
If you arrive on tuesday July 6thprice per person is - 50 CZK

Does not matter if you stay just one nigt or for the whole festival.

The new system not only provides more comfort, but also helps to limit the presence of non-festival visitors.

If you don't want to bring your own tent and sleeping bag, you can use the Kempingski and Nescafé camping sites, where you can rent fully-equipped tents and even get breakfast in the morning.  You can make a reservation for 2-person tents on Tickets for People.

Building fires, using cookers, handling fireworks and fire torches is not allowed within the camping grounds. There are no cars allowed into the camping grounds. The festival organizer is not liable for any loss or damage of any personal belongings kept in the camping grounds.

Hradec Králové is a town of approximately 100,000 people. There are many options for accommodation in the city.
If you want to stay in a hotel, we advise that you contact hotels directly.  You can visit www.ic-hk.cz for further assistance.

Accessibility options

The entire area of the venue is accessible to the disabled.  Also, in the vicinity of the two main stages (the T-Mobile and Česká spořitelna stages), wheelchair-bound festival guests will have special areas available to them near the sound technicians' workplace.  Here they will be safe from the crowds, while still enjoying a great view of the on stage action.

Apart from the music

You are probably coming to Rock for People for the music, but there is a good chance you might need a little break. Therefore, we have arranged a whole variety of things for you to do. There are sports activities, an Internet tent, theatre and cinema performances, chill-out zones, souvenir stands and much more!

JamStage

The JamStage will be open for 3 days from July 4th - 6th, from 2pm until late at night. The program will consist of celebrity jams, interactive drum circles, courses in African dance and concerts by bands that participated in contests organized by Rock for People.

ATM Machine / Česká spořitelna

Česká spořitelna will provide the ATM machine in the Festivalpark area. Its location will be specified on the map of the venue. The ticket offices will be supplied with credit card  terminals to allow festival guests to pay for their tickets by card.

Dogs and other animals

The loud festival environment can be stressful for dogs and other pets.  In consideration of their health and the safety of the visitors, dogs and other pets are not allowed to enter the festival grounds.

Environmentally friendly adjustments

The festival in itself and the immense concentration of thousands of people in one place constitutes a significant burden on the living environment.  This can cause an array of negative consequences.  We are incessantly working on reducing those consequences and coming up with new ideas every year in order to make Rock for People permanently sustainable.

Larger capacity recycling bins - *NEW* Separate bins for glass waste *NEW*
The rubbish sorting and recycling system is based on a network of collection points, which are more numerous this year.  Each "Green-point" is supplied with seperate large bins for paper and aluminum waste, and starting this year, glass waste as well. These areas will be closely monitored throughout the duration of the festival and the bins will be emptied as required. This year, the waste generated by the Rock for People festival visitors will be subjected to sorting and recycling in its entirety for the very first time.

All food and drinks will be served in biopackaging
Another important step toward the ecological sustainability of the festival is the attempt at maximizing the usage of biodegradable containers whilst selling food and drinks.  This isn't a big change for visitors, as the packaging looks just like regular plastic plates, cups and cutlery.

Beer will be served in biodegradable cups for the first time...
Another first in the history of Rock for People -  Beer will be served solely in biodegradable cups!  As with regular cups in the past, there will be a deposit for using these cups. The selling point is in the same location and we firmly believe that the beer will taste even better in these environmentally friendly cups!

Green area
Rock for People will feature a special Green area this year.  Many non-profit making organizations and companies will present new ways of using alternative, natural resources to help the environment.  This is the route our festival wants to take in the future.
A part of the Green area will feature a small stage where the 100% environmentally friendly American group, The Ginger Ninjas, will be performing. They actually travel through Europe on their bicycles, carrying everything they need with them.  This includes their instruments and their own PA system, which they power up with the electricity they generate whilst pedaling.  Go and take a look at their act, they could surely use a helping..........leg to make it work!

Other ways Rock for People cares about the environment include:
• supporting the use of public transportation, including shuttle buses, trains and other transportation within the venue
• coming by bicycle, including the production and installation of bike racks
• printing all promotional material on recycled paper
• using Harmony recycled toilet paper in the TOI TOI portable toilets

First aid

There is a first-aid tent inside the festival area - see the festival area map.  In case of injury or health problems outside the festival area please call 155 or 112.

Food, beer and other drinks

There are all sorts of food opportunities inside the festival area including vegetarian food, local cuisine, Indian, Thai, Mexican or Chinese specialties.

Beer and other drinks
The STAROPRAMEN brewery is the official beer partner of the 2010 Rock for People.

The assortment of available drinks is as diverse as the choice of foods, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.  Beer lovers will be satisfied by the different types of Staropramen and there will also be Belgian specialty beer and non-alcoholic beer for drivers.

Packaged drinking water will be distributed in a special tent for 20 CZK per 1.5L bottle. There will also be drinking water in the lavatories.

As the choice of food and drink within the festival area is more than sufficient, no food or drink is allowed to be brought onto the festival site. Thank you for your understanding.

Child-friendly program

Do you have a little rocker at home that you'd like to bring along to Rock for People?  Great idea!  The festival is entirely child-friendly and you'll be sure to find lots to do with your little ones.

ID wristbands

Each festival visitor will receive an ID wristband upon handing in their ticket.  This wristband entitles you to enter and exit the festival grounds at any given time. The wristband is non-transferable, and if it becomes overly damaged, it will lose its validity.
Each visitor is required to show their wristband to security when entering the venue and if randomly requested.  In the event that a visitor does not have a valid wristband or is unable to show it to security, they will be denied entry and/or escorted from the premises.

Residents of the camp site areas will also receive ID bracelets in order to limit the presence of unauthorized persons within the venue.  This is aimed at minimizing the risk of theft and other unpleasant incidents.

Information

There will be an information stand to provide information about the program, services and transport.  Feel free to ask our info people about anything regarding the festival!  The stand will also serve as a lost and found.

Internet

There is a t-music zone where festival visitors can use a high-speed Internet connection.  You can charge your phone here, buy credit or check your email. Special environmentally friendly chargers are also available.

Money

Most payments in the Czech Republic are only possible in Czech crowns (CZK). Major shops and supermarkets accept regular credit cards, and some of them accept payment in Euros (EUR). Please make sure you have enough local currency with you.

The 4th and 5th of July are national holidays, so many institutions (such as banks) may be closed.

Sanitary facilities

The camp site includes shower cabins with warm water.  Running water is also available in other areas throughout the venue.  250 portable toilets, as well as urinals will be available to the public free of charge.  There will also be regular toilets in the venue providing additional comfort.  In the event of tropical weather, there will be sprinkler vans to cool you down.

Security

Our festival security is here to watch over the festival grounds and to prevent the entry of unauthorized personnel into restricted areas.  All members of the festival security are clearly marked and dressed in festival security uniforms.  Should you witness any kind of abuse from the festival security, please report it to the festival organizers.  Please follow the instructions of the festival security to make the festival go in a relaxed manner.

Once outside the festival area, please follow the instructions of the state or municipal police.  The rights of the festival security include the following: checking the validity of your festival wristband, personal searches at the entrance (festival visitors are not allowed to bring dangerous or restricted items into the festival area).  They will also ban visitors who are: using aggressive behaviour, drug dealers or merchandise dealers without valid concession.

The festival security is here to help people with special needs and to protect the visitors and the artists from any possible danger.

Storage

There is a luggage depository within the festival area.  The festival organizer is not liable for any damage or loss of personal belongings left in the camping ground or in the festival area.  If you lose something, please report it to the INFO tent.

Photography and video in the festival area

Please note that we are responsible for the fact that the festival performances will not be recorded (neither audio nor video) by anyone without special permit.  It is forbidden to bring professional cameras or recording equipment into the festival area.  The right to decide whether a particular device may or may not be called professional is entirely upon the festival security workers.  Experiencing the festival live will definitely be more enjoyable than recording it.
